Fractional laser CO2

Fractional laser (or otherwise fractional carbon dioxide laser) is an advanced treatment that treats both the skin’s surface and its deeper layers.

The selective release of thermal energy from the fractional laser leaves areas of the skin intact, (just like pixels). From the intact areas, the regeneration of the skin takes place with the synthesis of new collagen.

The thermal damage that occurs to the skin creates a mobilization of the healing mechanisms with a visible result of skin tightening and improvement of fine lines (fine wrinkles). When we use special parameters (such as greater intensity) we achieve the improvement of acne marks, scars and striae (stretch marks). However, to achieve the better results, 2-4 treatments are required approximately every 1-1.5 months, depending on the problem and the age of the patient.

This particular laser also acts on the skin, treating discolourations and a dull appearance, just like peelings, by exfoliating the most superficial layers. It is an ideal treatment for photo-aged skin and skin with many wrinkles. The result in the improvement of the skin surface can be noted immediately after the 5-6th day. At that time, we also notice a mild exfoliation. The effect of the treatment on skin tightening and improvement of wrinkling is noticeable after 1.5-2 months. That time is required for the production of new collagen.

The treatment can also be applied to the neck and decollete and is quick and safe. We sometimes use topical anesthetic cream to make the application well tolerated. Sun protection is mandatory after treatment.
